Stampede 13u Americans win Top Gun World Series!!!!

 The 13u Americans brought home hardware this weekend, winning the Top Gun World Series.  The team lost their opener 10-6, but won three straight games to win the title.

On Sunday, the team won their opener against Atomic Baseball by the score of 11-3. They trailed 3-1 after two innings, but rallied for 5 in the 3rd and 4 in the 4th to break the game open.  

Benjy Smith led the team with a 3-3 day, scoring twice and driving in 2. Henry Clarke Pounder and Spencer Honeycutt added a pair of hits apiece, with both scoring 2 runs in the contest.

In the championship game, the Americans pounded out 13 hits and scored in every inning on their way to the title.  Clarke Pounder (3-3, 2 runs scored) and Smith  (2-2, run scored, 4 RBI's) were huge again and got help in the form of Henry Moran (2-3, 3 runs scored), Riley McCready (2-3, 3 RBI's) and Ryan McNally (2-3, 3 RBI's).
